from 27 reviewsVery surprised about this coffee. Excellent taste! Your taste buds will ask for more. I am definitely ordering more coffee!

This Nicaraguan roast is one of the most easy-drinking coffees I’ve had in a while. It’s smooth, medium-bodied, and has just enough brightness to keep it interesting without being sharp. There’s a subtle nutty sweetness that comes through, especially when brewed with a pour-over or French press. Great for daily drinking with no bitterness, no fuss, just a solid, enjoyable cup every time. Definitely one I’ll keep around.

The anaerobic java exceeded expectation. The moment I opened the bag I was greeted by a rich aroma that I've rarely encountered with other coffees. The first sip revealed some delightful chocolate undertones together with a subtle nuttiness that made drinking this coffee a unique experience. What truly impressed me was the mild sweetness which seemed to emerge naturally.

This is great stuff. Laurina beans are notoriously difficult to track down, and these were not only way more affordable than most, they were among the best I've tried.

This is a fantastic coffee; definitely get a bag. Super versatile and easy to drink.

On the weekends I like to take it slow and enjoy my coffee with a top shelf pour over. This light roast has elevated the pour over. Good strong cup with full flavor. Thanks El Quetzal!

From the first time I tried this coffee, it has been everything I've ever wanted and needed from my coffee. The aroma and flavor are like heaven to the senses. I thoroughly enjoy sipping on this throughout the day, it gives me the much needed boost to power through my day!

This was my first time brewing Nicaraguan coffee, and I must say that I’m really impressed! The light and fragrant aroma of roasted beans wafting from the package made for a great first impression, and the brew was especially lovely. This was advertised as having a black tea-like profile, which got me interested since I’m a pretty big tea drinker as well. Within minutes of brewing, I could smell the tea notes and the sweetness backing them. I didn’t want to write a full review until I’d tried the coffee in all the ways I normally take it: hot without creamer, hot with creamer, cold without creamer, and cold with creamer.
Overall, I think this is a fantastic variety for supertasters and people who might be on the fence about coffee in general. This blend provides a great introduction to the much bolder flavors in the medium and dark roasts and, as with the medium roast, the more floral and citrus notes surfaced with a splash of creamer.

This was my first time brewing Nicaraguan coffee, and I must say that I’m really impressed! The complex aroma of roasted beans wafting from the package made for a great first impression, and the brew was especially lovely. Within minutes my kitchen was full of a nutty, slightly citrusy, fragrance, and there was plenty of body for being a medium roast. I didn’t want to write a full review until I’d tried the coffee in all the ways I normally take it: hot without creamer, hot with creamer, cold without creamer, and cold with creamer.
Overall, what stood out to me the most was just how smooth and non-acidic the coffee tasted. Normally, when I brew a cup, I expect a certain amount of bite to it, but just when I thought it was gearing up to get me, the flavor backed down and finished smooth. On its own, the coffee balanced all the notes advertised on the packaging (sweet, floral, citric, with aromas of jasmine and grapefruit). However, with the addition of a creamer (oat milk), the brighter, more citrusy notes came to the surface. Definitely a coffee I’ll keep on my radar.
As a side note: If you’re the kind of person who likes to snack on coffee beans, I’d highly recommend these. They have a great crunch and won’t get caught in your teeth. I also suspect they’d be fantastic dipped in chocolate.

This coffee was incredibly smooth and silky! I ordered the whole bean roast, and the aroma was so intense after the first grind.
I normally put a splash of cream in my coffee, but I just wanted to experience this flavor on its own. Its not bitter at all - even when made extra strong.
Highly recommend 👌

I love this coffee! Makes a wonderful french press and this will definitely be in my regular rotation from now on!

I am a coffee snob. Tried my Java Light Roast, makes a fantastic cup of coffee. Awesome aroma and the taste was incredible. Will definitely be purchasing again.

This medium roast is smooth and balanced. Very tasty and love the smell of it brewing as I am waking up. Snuggle up with a cup of this roast and a good book.

I love light roasts since they have more caffeine. This one is robust and delicious. It is perfect for my afternoon pick me up!
