Java | Single Varietal and Blended Direct Trade Coffees

Collection: Java | Single Varietal and Blended Direct Trade Coffees

A family favorite, Javanica has been developed over the last 20+ years since it's introduction to Central America. It's since been developed extensively by the Bendaña family and surrounding farms and is a prominent feature of El Quetzal.

Favored for its resistance to coffee leaf rust and coffee berry disease, Java shares flavor characteristics with recent superstar, Geisha, without the intensity found in many recent and more costly and fragile coffees. Known for its caramel, honey crisp, citrus, flavors, it also retains a smooth character as it develops into a more chocolate note at a darker roast levels.

Java scores favorably year in and year out and is core to our coffee business and long term relationships with buyers.
