Java | Single Varietal and Blended Direct Trade Coffees
A family favorite, Javanica has been developed over the last 20+ years since it's introduction to Central America. It's since been developed extensively by the Bendaña family and surrounding farms and is a prominent feature of El Quetzal.Â
Favored for it's resistance to coffee leaf rust and coffee berry disease, it shares flavor characteristics with recent superstar, Geisha, without the intensity found in many recent and more costly and fragile coffees. The cup of this coffee is known for it's caramel, honeycrisp, citrus, flavors. It also retains a smooth character as it develops into a more chocolate note at a darker roast levels.
Java scores favorably year in and year our and is core to our coffee business and long term relationships with buyers.Â
