Description
A Rare Lineage, Refined by El Arenal
While the Geisha varietal has become a global icon, our expression is uniquely shaped by the high-altitude micro-climate of the Cerro El Arenal Natural Reserve. Now in its second harvest at EQCC, these trees have matured to produce an exceptionally elegant cup that captures the floral clarity the varietal is famous for, grounded by the rich, volcanic terroir of our family estate.
Limited Harvest: Only 10 Sacks Available To ensure the highest quality standards, we have partitioned this year's harvest into just ten 69kg export-grade sacks. This micro-lot represents the pinnacle of our 2026 specialty production—a rare opportunity to experience a world-class varietal at an accessible Nicaraguan origin price.
Scoring & Tasting Notes:

Tasting notes: Complex, elegant, floral, very aromatic, well-balanced, citric acidity, bright finish with fruit notes of mandarin, jasmine, peach, lemon-lime and grapefruit.
Complex, elegant, floral, very aromatic, well balanced, citric acidity, bright, mandarin, jasmine, peach, lemon-lime and grapefruit. - Roasting Notes: On the Link Nucleus we're using the WBrC profile with 12.1% DTR. First crack is around 6:10 and roast finishes around 410.3 at 7:00. When extended out further the delicate florals disappear into a strong sweetness, typical of Geisha's.
Experimenting with Elegance into 2027, Honey Process Geisha
Beyond our traditional washed lots, the Bendaña McEwan family is currently trialing limited honey processed methods with our Geisha harvest. This experimental approach creates a cup with a slightly heavier, silkier mouthfeel while preserving the signature jasmine and citrus clarity that makes Geisha so sought after. It is a delicate dance between the "funk" of the fruit and the "finesse" of the bean—a true reflection of our commitment to pushing Nicaraguan coffee boundaries.
