    Why choose El Quetzal?

    Single-Origin Excellence

Grown on our family farm, El Quetzal has been developed for generations to produce coffee with bold and complex flavors. We believe our terroir is blessed. Whether it's the location along the Jinotega and Matagalpa border, the cool nights, consistent rainfall, elevation, or something else, what we know is El Quetzal produces excellent coffees.

    Farm-to-Cup Transparency

Full traceability, no middlemen—just pure craftsmanship. We own the farm, mill, process, and export our own coffees to the US, Japan, and Europe and meet and exceed the standards of each. We're now going further adding a weather station, documenting and digitizing processing, and bringing more data to our buyers and roasters than ever before. Follow us as we transform our business and reach for a 100 point coffee.

    Sustainable Practices

We made the shift to sustainability and quality almost 30 years ago. Our farm and wet mill is entirely hydropowered. We're committed to regenetative practices, clean water, reducing plastics, and improving the natural landscapes around us.

    Crafted for Coffee Lovers

Expertly roasted to bring out the best in every bean. We work with the best partners we can find to provide honest feedback and push ourselves to create the perfect cup of coffee. Even more importantly we want to help roasters and buyers understand exactly where our coffees can fit in their lineups.
