Let customers speak for us
from 25 reviewsI purchased this variety looking for a lower caffeine content without sacrificing flavor. It delivered! Arrived fast and with a recent roast date.
Very flavorful. Nice fruit note. Great daily drinker!
A gift for my mother in law and she could not speak highly enough of the coffee. Gonna buy some more for her right now in fact!
Love this coffee as a lower caffeine option without any compromise to great flavor.
Hi, longtime roaster, first time reviewer. Just finished roasting my first batch of green Java and I LOVE it…. And my husband LOVES it. I took it a touch past city and let it soak with the temp off for a couple of minutes then flash cooled it on my back porch in a light snow. My husband walked in and said “That smells fantastic, which coffee is it? “ He didn’t even wait for it rest and ground some and made a pot. I said “ This should have degassed for at least a day” Anyway, we both went “WOW” this is awesome. I cannot boast a highly discerning palate but I pick up black tea and caramel. I need more…..I don’t want to run out in the middle of Winter. Ohhhh, super easy to roast, very little chaff that lets go easily. Reminds me of a Maragogype but more elongated or Indian Mysore Nuggets( another favorite).
Very surprised about this coffee. Excellent taste! Your taste buds will ask for more. I am definitely ordering more coffee!
This Nicaraguan roast is one of the most easy-drinking coffees I’ve had in a while. It’s smooth, medium-bodied, and has just enough brightness to keep it interesting without being sharp. There’s a subtle nutty sweetness that comes through, especially when brewed with a pour-over or French press. Great for daily drinking with no bitterness, no fuss, just a solid, enjoyable cup every time. Definitely one I’ll keep around.
The anaerobic java exceeded expectation. The moment I opened the bag I was greeted by a rich aroma that I've rarely encountered with other coffees. The first sip revealed some delightful chocolate undertones together with a subtle nuttiness that made drinking this coffee a unique experience. What truly impressed me was the mild sweetness which seemed to emerge naturally.
This is great stuff. Laurina beans are notoriously difficult to track down, and these were not only way more affordable than most, they were among the best I've tried.
This is a fantastic coffee; definitely get a bag. Super versatile and easy to drink.
On the weekends I like to take it slow and enjoy my coffee with a top shelf pour over. This light roast has elevated the pour over. Good strong cup with full flavor. Thanks El Quetzal!
From the first time I tried this coffee, it has been everything I've ever wanted and needed from my coffee. The aroma and flavor are like heaven to the senses. I thoroughly enjoy sipping on this throughout the day, it gives me the much needed boost to power through my day!
This was my first time brewing Nicaraguan coffee, and I must say that I’m really impressed! The light and fragrant aroma of roasted beans wafting from the package made for a great first impression, and the brew was especially lovely. This was advertised as having a black tea-like profile, which got me interested since I’m a pretty big tea drinker as well. Within minutes of brewing, I could smell the tea notes and the sweetness backing them. I didn’t want to write a full review until I’d tried the coffee in all the ways I normally take it: hot without creamer, hot with creamer, cold without creamer, and cold with creamer.
Overall, I think this is a fantastic variety for supertasters and people who might be on the fence about coffee in general. This blend provides a great introduction to the much bolder flavors in the medium and dark roasts and, as with the medium roast, the more floral and citrus notes surfaced with a splash of creamer.
